We've just finished the Cascade Saddle alpine track - see the new album. It was amazing, and we could'nt have been luckier with the weather. And we have to admit that there are cool mountains outside Norway as well... Now we're in Nelson, north on the South Island. We'll go kayaking for a coulpe of days and then we'll head off to Auckland and orientation week. It's a little sad that the summer vacation is reaching its end. We love it here.

It's easy to feel like home in this country. Today we went for a cheap lunch and ended up with free champagne, red wine and a vodka-ice-cream dessert. Consequently we cant leave Nelson today, but we'll drive early tomorrow morning!

So, we have a blog!
For those of you we haven't spoken to for a while, we're in New Zealand for five months. Right now we're enjoying three weeks of backpacking on the South Island. In the end of this month we'll start studying in Auckland.

We've uploade a few photos from our first, adventurous week. Today we run off to Mount Aspiring National Park and the Cascade Saddle track. We've filled our backpack with insect repellant - something we should have thought of before the last track as well.
